Skilly and St. Attracta's Community School Launch Financial Wellbeing Programme for TY Students
05/03/2025

Skilly is delighted to announce its partnership with St. Attracta's Community School in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo. Together, we are introducing an innovative Financial Wellbeing Empowerment Programme to equip Transition Year (TY) students with the critical financial skills needed for real-world success.
Programme Overview
The Financial Wellbeing Empowerment Programme is a structured digital curriculum that helps students develop financial independence and responsibility. It is divided into three progressive modules—Start, Grow, and Accelerate—guiding students from basic financial literacy to advanced money management.
Through interactive digital lessons, students will explore essential financial topics, including:
✅ Bank accounts & budgeting – Understanding how to manage money effectively
✅ Pensions & savings – Preparing for future financial security
✅ Taxes & insurance – Demystifying key financial obligations
The programme is delivered entirely online via Skilly, providing a convenient and accessible learning experience that caters to different learning styles. Teachers can track student progress, provide feedback, and support student learning, ensuring an impactful educational journey. Upon completion, students receive a Financial Wellbeing Completion Badge recognising their achievements and understanding of key financial concepts.
Principal David McEvoy shared his enthusiasm for this collaboration:
"By integrating Skilly's Financial Wellbeing Empowerment Programme into our TY curriculum, we are not just teaching financial literacy—we are empowering students with lifelong skills that will shape their financial independence and decision-making confidence. This initiative aligns seamlessly with our commitment to holistic education and personal development."
We are excited about this program's positive impact on St. Attracta's Community School students, equipping them with the financial knowledge and skills to navigate their future confidently.
